The leaders of the Caribbean CPI are Tim Pascoe & John Strutton. They are supported by a team of internationally renowned associates and have links with key agencies.

crime prevtion community safety leader  Dr. Tim Pascoe (tim.pascoe@caribbeanCPI.com) is one of the Directors of the CaribbeanCPI and is an extremely experienced project manager and 'leader' in the Designing and Managing Out Crime' field. Tim has published over 100 journal, magazine articles and reports and presents and lectures all over the world.

 

He is a founder-member and current Chairman of DOCA-UK (the Design Out Crime Association - www.doca.org.uk) and an International Director of the ICA (the International CPTED Association). He is a member of the Commonwealth Club and the Cranfield Management Association. He sits on various UK and European security standards boards, the Editorial Board of the Security Journal and the Advisory Board of the Design Against Crime Centre, University of the Arts London. He is an Advisor to an All-Party Parliamentary Child and Youth Crime Group

 

Tim specialises in carrying out qualitative and quantitative research, investigating community safety issues, security problems and providing crime prevention measures.  He has led numerous projects that have investigated all aspects of crime prevention and community safety.

  

 

 

John Strutton  (john.strutton@caribbeanCPI.com) is one of the Directors of the CaribbeanCPI. He is also is one of the UK's leading community safety practitioners, with a track record of success in some of the UK's most challenging areas. With a background in public sector housing management and crime prevention, John has held senior posts such as Head of Estate Safety and Risk Management for the London Borough of Hackney, Head of Community Safety for the City of Westminster, and is currently the manager of the Crime & Disorder Unit of Transport for London. John has developed community safety strategies and crime prevention problem-solving plans in a wide range of Housing, Transport and streetscape situations.

 

A specialist in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, John is a UK Home Office qualified Crime Prevention Officer and Architectural Liaison Officer.

 

John is an adviser to the British Standards Institute on the design of transport locations, and has been a presenter on crime prevention initiatives on the international stage, speaking at events organised by the UK Designing Out Crime Association, the European Designing Out Crime Association, the US Department for Homeland Security and the US National Crime Prevention Institute.  

 

Keen to stay in touch with the reality of issues at the "sharp end", John is an active Special Constable with the British Transport Police where he exercises full police powers as a part of a response team in East London.
